end of the world ?

2 0 1 2
HAPPY NEW YEAR BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!
well it is here in NZ anyway :]

These were some of the fireworks at RnV in Gisborne where I've been working the past 3 nights, and had a brilliant time while I was at it! More images will come soon, once i've had some decent sleep!
Probably on my Facebook page (so check here)

I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT FIREWORKS
(just so you know)
couldn't wipe the grin off my face the whole 7 or so minutes they were going off.

I have a feeling that instead of the end of everything,
2012 will be the start of everything for me.
And i'll keep you updated.

nicholas

This is my nephew Nicholas on the day before Christmas.
I hadn't seen him for at least 6 months.
Now he's walking, and can understand you.
He's adorable. But because he hadn't seen me for ages I don't think he recognised me. And I don't want to be the aunt who has a camera for a face, but look at him! How can I not want to photograph him?!
It's crazy how fast things change.

glitter makes me oh so happy

Some snaps from my shoot for a new blog header.
Look up! Check it out!

Obviously I love glitter.
Anything sparkly in fact.

Grant, who very kindly photographed me.

it's about time

Whilst cleaning out my cupboards I stumbled upon all my old Visual Diaries from highschool. Thought i'd share a few of my creations. I think it's about time I draw again.

There was a blast of sunshine, and now water falls.

So I've just moved from Palmy to Hamilton for the summer, and boy do I have a lot of possessions! Although, I have gone through most of it and am giving away around 10 bags of stuff! But I needed a break today, so I did a little crafting, and this simple headpiece is the result. I feel like a total hippy wearing it with my maxi dress and zero makeup! It's a beautiful feeling.

Darcy: King of Chaos.

Elle, Beka & Anthony. Such shiny hair.

A failed double exposure. But Tracy looks superb.

BAM flash in the face. Take that Darcy.

Coffeeeeeeee.

Anthony hugs Tracy & Beka goodbye.

A suitable double exposure! Beka's head is always in the clouds.
And check out the sweet tee her boyfriend made her!

This little sparrow had a sore leg. We fed him cone.

They were rainbow icecreams.

Degree

Today I did my last ever assignment toward my Bachelor of Applied Visual Imaging. It was a speech/5min talk about my final project to my lecturers and peers. And now, I don't know what to do with myself until I move out of Palmy (forever), but that is exciting, because I have time for myself now, to relax and plan and appreciate the beautiful sunshine instead of being on a computer all day.

My friend Hits took this picture of me infront of my part in the exhibition.
They're not actually pinned crooked on the wall!

21

Recently, a few weekends ago, I went to Hamilton to my good friend Che's 21st celebration. I had found an unused disposable camera at the Sallies for $2 and was determined to use it all that night. There's definitely something way more interesting and intriguing about analogue, I love the vibrancy of the colours and the aesthetic of the expired film. Somehow the pictures seem more alive and genuine. You can't beat a good night with a group of good people.
Here are my favourite images:
